"Less is More"
This is my collection “Less is More” taking inspiration from Minimalism in and around the home. Minimalism has been linked with helping promote good mental health within the home and with everybody working from home this is a huge factor. working and living with less items is less stressful therefore able to concentrate more.

I started by discovering buildings around Leicester with interesting and unique designs, shapes and patterns, such as. Highcross shopping centre. I developed from these photographs into designs that I could digital embroider and hand embroider and use other techniques to develop minimal but interesting designs and samples to be used as interior pieces




I then developed a simple colour palette from my primary research and found blacks, greys and white were the main colours


Starting with paper manipulations inspired by architectural shapes and research photos in and around Leicester city centre

Here I developed my photographs into more linear designs on photoshop.
